Lori, I am so glad that you stopped to take this photo. See how you are teaching your sons. They were impressed with the beauty of the sky. Simply beautiful! And the Scripture verse was perfect to go along with it. Isn't our Creator God imaginative and awesome?

Like you, I admire her determination and passion to stand up for what she believes in whether it is the "politically correct" thing or not. I'd be interested to hear your opinions on her book. It sounds like an interesting read.

There is nothing like seeing the face of a smiling child to encourage me too! Lori, I'm so glad that Lord used a little one like this to change you whole mood. Isn't He amazing? Even though I am an adult, the only way I can swallow a pill is to take a mouthful of water or tea or whatever, lean my head back, drop the pill in my mouth, and swallow. If it still doesn't go down at that point I just keep chugging water til it is eventually washed down.

I marvel at people who just just pop a pill in and be done with it -- I can't!

Hey Lori,

This is my first visit here and I see that we have a lot of geekiness in common. I mean anytime you find two people that are not professional chemist getting excited about a "new graphical representaion of the periodic table" it's just a little scary.

I keep up to date with Lisa Irby's site http://blog.2createawebsite.com/. If you have ever watched any of Darren's YouTube videos, check Lisa out. She is a natural in front of the camera and she's very down to earth (I think Darren is one of her mentors).

I'm sure I will be stopping by again to share some more geeky stories with you.

Wanting and waiting. So hard. UGH! Unexpected blessings. Delightful! As for not being able to swallow pills, I can totally relate. I don't do so well either and I'm an adult (or so they tell me.) :-) Is it a kind that can be cut into smaller pieces without losing it's effectiveness? I have often done this just to get the stupid things down.

It's amazing, isn't it, how much we love our children. Growing up, I had no idea that my parents' words of wisdom were born from their innate desire for me to be happy. I just figured they like to give me advice. Now, I know. If my children are happy, I am thrilled. If they are disappointed or disillusioned, I am devastated.

I did my post on kids as well...and I thought that was the easy answer, to easily say you are thankful for your kids. But a lot of the "thankful" posts are about children, and gosh, isn't it a great thing to be thankful for? Love the pics!
